Mogli NOT “DJ MOGLI” JUST MOGLI, trained in Spring 2010 and had been doing his show, Metal^3 (Metal Cubed) for about 6 semesters now. You can catch his show in the early hours of Monday morning 2am-4am. About 7 hours from now. There can’t be a better way to start your week off than METAL at 2am on a Monday morning.

Describe your show in 5 words: Metal. Metal. Rants. Nerdery? Metal

Artists/Genres played: Metalmetalmetal, which reduces to Metal^3. Look, a show name! Where to start, huh? Death, Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad, Gojira, Amon Amarth, Type O Negative, Woods of Ypres, whatever cool cats I can find on Bandcamp, Animals As Leaders, Dillinger Escape Plan, Necrophagist, Converge, Opeth, Mastodon, Municipal Waste, on and on and on. I also finish with something classical-ish at the end of each show because I’m a music nerd.

Favorite Album: Currently I’m just fanboying all over Devin Townsend and everything he touches. Let’s go with Strapping Young Lad’s “City” for its nearly unrelenting and overwhelmingly frantic aggression and its impenetrable production. Lots of bands use profanity but Devin’s vocal delivery can make what should be a passing expletive have he exactly correct amount of weight.

What is your favorite part about being a DJ?: The stock answer of being able to share the music that I can’t get enough of with other people through the airwaves. And also meeting other rad people that are just as passionate about music and able to talk at length about it, even if our genres of choice are miles apart.

Would you consider yourself passive, aggressive or passive aggressive?: Aggressively passive? I try so very hard to relax and have a good time.
