Ben Hank

I've been at Missouri S&T since it was called University of Missouri-Rolla. I came here in Fall of 2004 and joined KMNR the following year in Fall of 2005.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in December of 2008 and a Master's in Geophysics 2011.
I've been the Business Manager of the station, then the Station Manager, then the Personnel Director.
Now I'm just a simple DJ, trying my best to rock the airwaves hard once a week for the 2 hours I'm allotted.

I love a lot of different music styles.

Long songs with shifting structure, twisting riffs, throat-tearing screams, and alternating atmospheric and harsh sections are one of my favorite types of music.

I also like bands that make spacey, beautiful soundscapes that you can close your eyes and drift along with.

I also like the oddball alternative rock band that can't quite be classified well.

And then there's the occasional ear-bleeding music that's so harsh, complicated, and layered that you reel from it for hours afterwards.
