If you tuned in last week to Drop That Funk, you may recall an infectious genre, and an inability to stop grooving. Well, I couldn’t stop listening to it. Some people have told me I needed a doctor, but all I tell them is “I’M NOT CONTAGIOUS. BUT I GOT THE KINDA LOVE THAT KNOCKS YOU DOWN.”
That’s right, the funk infection won’t abate, and I, Katie Machine, have to abide. Specifically, Chromeo has been in my ears for an entire week straight, and so while I’ll be laying down the funk this morning, the sound has evolved a little since last week. Which is why this playlist is called ELECTROFUNK: THE NEXT GENERATION. I’ve got the most recent, funky fresh tracks mixed in with the retro stuff, and it’s tasty how well they mix together.
