There is a definite dichotomy between the first and second half of the show today. First half consists of a tribute to David Berman from Silver Jews and Purple Mountain. I included music from him as well as other talented Americana musicians. They are all worth checking out. The second half is somewhat of my normal things with noise rock and shoegaze before the talented Bryan Copland played a short set for us. Unfortunately, Youji.O song is not online. It's good I promise! Also, I would check out the Darkness and Cold music video it's pretty good and made me smile in these times

Hey everyone, so there is not a lot when it comes to interviews. I have been talking to some artists but I am taking it a little slow. I am still a graduate student after all >.>

A lot is here from mostly Lo-fi but there's shoegaze and "world" (mostly eastern European). But here's my choice picks for this week!! Good news, a lot of the bandcamp artists have pay-what-you want so there is a lot of good music for you to download (as well as stream prob). Bad news, Trasona five doesn't have all the tracks online so I put Estrogen blaster ????????????

•A fun and loud lofi outing. It is similiar to Carseat Headrest but a bit noiser (My sputnik sweetheart is especially good :)

Emperor X -- Tectontic Membrane
•Cool dude and great music one of his earlier albums but still good

My Bloody Valentine -- Tremolo
•A Bahama sunset with goofy sampling of Balinda's vocals for Swallow (check out their EPs if you already haven't)

Bardo Pond -- Amanita
•These guys just keep releasing music in an already vast discography <>< - core

•A cool shoegaze/post-rock gem from Washington DC. Has the hardcore influence too making it a unique foray into. Only release by them unfortunately.

Diners -- "Three"
•Cute indie pop. Very short and to the point.

Telstar Drugs -- Sonatine
•I will keep on saying these guys are good until I get a copy of all their releases. (Which will probably be never RIP)

Grizzly Bear -- Yellow House
•The album from GB to first have Daniel Rossen. He's great and this album is great

•It's a fun EP tries to mix Dream pop / Shoegaze music with some City Pop elements. Not perfect but something different! Plus the label Sango has the best logo possibly ever.

Tortoise -- TNT
•They're pretty good a not as "Kraut" as "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" but just as good (if not better :)

Camberwell Now -- The Ghost Trade (All's Well Comp)
•Underrated group by Charles Haywood after This Heat. Expect nice sea shanties and cool tunes

Stereolab Dots and Loops

Mid-Air Thief -- Crumbling
•The platform here doesn't like foreign characters. It's like progressive pop (a la Grizzly Bear) but much more electronic and goes that extra step. Very good!

FIrst show since my California trip. Had a great time visiting family and Yosemite (tooo many people though). You know the deal if you've been reading this here are my coolio choice picks.

But I am going to try to get some chats with Chris Hauer (who's open to it but is touring atm) and Emperor X (he liked my tweet so we're in) so look forward to that.
